Really great wood fired pizza and cozy ambiance! We decided to come on a Thursday night and we were seated right away. The staff was super friendly and giving great recommendations as we were debating what wine to order. We started off with a white wine and shishito peppers. The shishito peppers were ok and I wished they'd been grilled a little more. I also recommend to ask for flaky salt on the side to sprinkle on top. The wine selection is also not bad and we enjoyed the staff's recommendation. The pizza was really good with such a nice crispy and thin crust (though I wish the portion size were a bit bigger). I also wish there was a little more cheese and toppings relative to crust.

We were looking for a bite after a conference we were in town for and this was the perfect place! Loved the atmosphere and it's so cool to be able to see them toss dough and cook the pizzas in the wood fire oven. The pizza was delicious and the sauce was so fresh it felt super light but very satisfying. Absolutely loved the chewiness of the dough, I would eat here so often if I lived here! I'm so happy we had room for dinner because the pavlova was superb. My coworkers also really enjoyed their drinks as well!

Popped in for a bite before a show at the Masonic. Easy walk, no wait, and food was prompt. Pizza was delicious: full of flavor, soft/chewy crust, and not too skimpy on cheese! What I appreciated the most about this place was the wine menu. A wine from Maryland on tap? Yes, please. An ice cider from Vermont? I'll stay for another round. The quirky portraits on the wall had me saying 'he looks like William H. Macy meets Eddie Munster' and 'is that boy wearing Mickey Mouse's trousers?'. Memorable experience. I'll go again next time I'm at the Masonic.

I have been wanting to eat here for a while because of the award this place has received (a Bib Gourmand) and it made a list of the top 50 pizzerias in the world. Little gem Caesar: 4/5. I loved the lettuce they used (color and texture). And a solid dressing. Nicely done. Salsiccia pizza: 4/5. Thin crust cooked perfectly. Fully cooked in the middle and with nice blistering on top. Great chew. I enjoyed the toppings and was pleasantly surprised with the little spicy kick. I am sure I will be back soon.

Stop looking for the best pizza in sf because this is it. I have tried the classic famous spots around the country but none of them came close to Del Popolo's. The crust was so wonderfully chewy and soft. I dream about it ... The king trumpet pizza was so perfect, an awesome combination of toppings and cheese that all came tg wonderfully! Even though the crust is soft, the toppings do not fall off in the middle of the pizza!!! Also, the ambiance is so cutesy with nice decorations that make it so perfect for a date night. You can also watch the pizzas get made! Our pizzas came pretty fast but we also dined at 9pm at night for context. Overall, cannot recommend this place enough :,)

I was at Del Popolo for a large group dinner so we had a reserved area in the back and the menu was set in advance. The outdoor patio is a lovely spot, and it almost felt as though I was transported out of the city (in a nice way!). They also provided blankets for us to use during dinner in case we got cold, but there were also heat lamps which kept me warm enough. We had the following for our set dinner: - Little Gem Caesar - Marinated Beets - Burrata - Margherita pizza - Salami Piccante - Salsiccia - Cheesecake My favorites were the marinated beets, burrata, salami piccante pizza and the salsiccia pizza. Service was really friendly and helpful. Also, for a set dinner, they moved dinner along at a nice pace.

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 3 Came here for dinner with a large party. Overall, enjoyed the food and would recommend. BURRATA frisee, nectarine, pistachio & pomegranate molasses $19 ~3/5. Liked the dish, but overall wasn't too memorable. MARGHERITA crushed tomato, mozzarella & basil $20 SALSICCIA Sausage, mozzarella, pecorino, mustard greens and castelvetrano olives $24 MARINARA crushed tomato, garlic & oregano $15 with ADD ONS House Made Sausage $4 Salami Piccante $4 Guanciale ~4/5. Pizzas were all pretty solid. My favorite was probably our custom meat pizza or the Salsiccia. Would definitely recommend adding the hot honey MACHO MANSO Three Spirit Social, BARE tequila alternative, mint, lime & Fever Tree ginger beer $15 ~3/5. Okay, a bit pricey for a mocktail

Del Popolo specializes in Neapolitan pizzas, made with hand-tossed doughs and baked in a traditional oven. Before the pizzas, we started with a Little Gem Caesar, made of lettuce tossed in a creamy dressing and topped with focaccia pangrattato (breadcrumbs), shaved Grana Padano, and anchovies; the Marinated Beets, served with spiced yogurt and avocado; and Eggplant Parmesan, made of panko-crusted eggplant topped with melted cheese and served over spicy tomato sauce. For our pizza selection, we tried the Shishito, topped with chopped peppers and cheese; and the Salsiccia, topped with sausage, mustard greens, and cheese. Both came on a puffy, chewy sourdough crust, which was much softer than that of other Neapolitan pizzas I've had. Overall, the food here was decent though not outstanding, and the service could have been more attentive.

Conveniently located next to our hotel we visited Del Popolo while in town. The ambience is cool, darker, a minimalist. We were seated immediately and our server brought water and soon after took our drink order. We started off with: Spanish Banana Peppers: NOT shishito peppers literally just banana peppers, I was thrown off by the word Spanish and ordered them Citrus Salad- with local citrus in season it was yummy. SALSICCIA Pizza- delicious, the bread cooked to perfection and the sausage with just the right amount of flavor, the cheese the cherry on top! YUM. Highly recommend.

Delicious pizza with a great ambiance! The Salami Piccante was my favorite. I loved the chili oil and red pepper flakes on the side. The outside patio has such a nice vibe, perfect for spring/summer nights. I'd recommend to make a reservation in advance. The service was attentive and friendly. Great spot in Nob Hill for yummy pizza.
